What do you think about trans-species genetic engineering?
We deteremine the gene sequences that cause intelligence in humans... maybe even speech and a few other interesting sements and we splice them into our favorite canine and create dogs that have many human characteristics? Maybe this is already being done? We can't legislate it... it will happen. If not here... the Russia, China, etc... There are trans-species genetically engineered fish at the pet store right now as I type this (Petco... "Glo-Fish").

Food for thought... we create intelligent animals then what kinds of social problems will we have to deal with? Rights? They will demand their rights!
Something to shock you awake.... please contribute your thoughts. At the same time you may think this is bad... genetic engineering will be Earth's salvation. Crops that grow in the desert... in salty earth... provide more nutrients, etc. There is good and bad.
